Ysselsteyn is the largest German war cemetery in the world.
Ysselsteyn German war cemetery is now the only German war cemetery in the Netherlands as after World War II most of the German fatalities were concentrated there. There are still some places in the Netherlands which hold German war graves, one such place is Vorden.
Since 1976 it is administered by the German War Graves Commission, the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge.

German Casualties Arnhem 1944
The excact number of German death as a result of the Battle of Arnhem is not known.
A research in the files of the German War grave commision at Ysselsteyn reveals that of the 455 graves from the Oosterbeek area no less than 150 have no name on it.
