The internet has been searched for information/documentation about those who are mention as being killed in several sources. According to Mrs H.M Slotboom-bitter of Wageningen 40-45, only one person is missing since.

If anyone has some more information, please let me know.

The bombs that fell on the Hamelakkers (Sahara) and Diedenweg district on the day that Operation Market Garden began were intended for German targets, but they hit civilians and town halls.

In the Sahara, thirty-five people were fatally affected, four seriously injured people died later in a hospital, one person was and remained missing.

There were many injuries.

The bombing of the Sahara was carried out by a flight of six aircraft from the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF), 8th Air Force.

There were 160 fragmentation bombs of 260 lb (118 kg) type AN-M81 (T10

There was no air alarm given because a quarter of an hour before the bombs fell, the power had failed. The power plant was bombed in Nijmegen.

Such bombardments were carried out along the entire Veluwezoom. The number of civilian deaths and injuries was high.

The Sahara was (and is) a suburb of Wageningen, located to the east of the city on the Wageningse Berg.

The Sahara is an unofficial name of the area that is actually called Hamelakkers.
